Ferguson fails latest transparency test

Column & commentary on what AG Ferguson's inaction on a lawsuit over the Let's Go Washington initiatives says about his attitude towards the democratic process
1

“It was the most significant Washington state court case you’ve never heard of, affecting one of our most consequential local news stories of 2023-2024. More than 820,000 Washington voters almost had their votes thrown out last week.”

So many excuses out of Bob Ferguson for not picking up the phone; they can’t be explained away. And the hypocrisy from the progressive side was stark, with the left-leaning Defend Washington arguing in this lawsuit that the Secretary of State should use tougher standards to check signatures on ballot initiatives while at the same time filing other lawsuits claiming the signature checking standards should be loosened or abolished for elections.

More on those suits later, one of them scheduled for oral argument the week before the November election. Meanwhile, here’s the column.
